Swim a few laps, catch a wave, relax in our spa or recover in our hydrotherapy pool. We have a wide range of pools available. 25m lap pool, only wave pool in Northland, family spa, hydro pool and sauna. Our well looked after fitness centre is spacious and has qualified trainers on board to assist with your health and fitness goals. We also have a wide range of group fitness classes available from aqua aerobics to Hydrotherapy classes.

KING'S BIRTHDAY OPENING HOURS!!

We will be open from 10am-6pm on Monday 1st June.

There will be no swim lessons and no Group Fitness classes.

The Hydro pool will be open for a public session from 11am-2pm.

Please be advised that Whanagrei Aquatic Centre will be closed on Friday, 1 May 2026 from 9:00am to 4:00pm due to a planned power outage for scheduled network maintenance by Northpower.

What’s affected:
Pools: Closed from 9:00am for the remainder of the day
Gym: Closed from 9:00am to 4:00pm (reopening after 4:00pm)

We apologise for any inconvenience and appreciate your understanding while this essential maintenance is completed.

🥇🥈🥉Local athlete Te P**i contiunes to shine and achieved another set of very impressive results at the Swimming NZ National Age Championships in Hastings 🥇🥈🥉

Te was presented with the SNZ Life Membership Award for the Most Outstanding Performance of the Meet for his 200m Backstroke, breaking the NZ record for 15yr old boys and qualifying for the Junior Pan Pacific Games to be held in Vancouver in August.

Te won gold medals in 50m, 100m and 200m Backstroke, 200m Individual Medley and 200m Butterfly, and silver in his 100m Butterfly.

All of the club swimmers who train out of our facility put in the work every day and it's awesome to hear the stories of all that time in the pool really paying off!

❌❌ EVENT CANCELLED ❌❌

Due to the region being officially declared in a State of Emergency, we have been advised that it is not safe to proceed with an outdoor event this evening. The safety of our participants and staff is our highest priority, so unfortunately we have made the decision to cancel.

We appreciate all of the donations and interest so far, and we will look to see if we can find an alternative date in the coming weeks to make this happen and raise some money for a great cause!

🚫🚫 SAUNA CLOSURE 🚫🚫

Unfortunately, after unsuccessful attempts to carry out repairs on our Sauna over the past week, it has been determined that the heater will need to be replaced.

This will take some time to arrange and the Sauna will remain closed in the meantime.

We thank you for your patience while we work to get things up and running.
