Get off the road and onto the trails for one of Northland's premier winter athletics events!

Whether you're chasing a personal best, preparing for an off-road adventure, or simply looking for a fun challenge, the Athletics Northland Cross Country Championships has something for everyone.
With distances to suit all abilities and ages 6 years and over, participants are welcome to run, jog, or walk their way around the scenic Barge Park course.
From first-timers through to elite athletes, cross country is a fantastic way to test yourself, enjoy the outdoors, and be part of the athletics community. The courses are clearly marked with white and red flags, making them easy to follow while providing an exciting and varied cross-country experience.
