Next month we’ll be part of the new Ministry for Cities, Environment, Regions and Transport (MCERT).

If you follow us for transport updates, you’ll still get them on our new channels - alongside insights on how transport connects with housing, local government and the environment.

By bringing these systems together, MCERT will support more joined-up decisions about how people live, move and connect.

📣Have your say on new time of use regulations.
Traffic congestion imposes significant costs on us all, including lost time for commuters and freight, unreliable travel times, wasted fuel and higher emissions.
The Land Transport Management (Time of Use Charging) Amendment Act comes into to force on 18 November and enables local authorities, in partnership with the New Zealand Transport Agency, to develop and implement time of use charging schemes.
To support this some new regulations are needed to ensure all charging schemes operate under the same rules.
You can have your say on the proposed regulations by making a submission during the consultation period, which is now open. More information, including how to make a submission, is available here:
