Kahungunu Whānau Services Our vision at Kahungunu Whānau Services is to inspire whānau to thrive. We are a kaupapa Maori organisation that believes our whanau come first.

We use tikanga and Te Ao Maori to lead everything we think, we do, we act - we are part of you and you are part of us. As a kaupapa Māori provider, we provide a Whānau Ora response to ending homelessness. We incorporate the tikanaga principles of Manaakitanga, Kotahitanga, Rangatiratanga and Whakawhanaungatanga. Connecting Whānau through whakapapa and linking them back to their Whānau, Hapu and Iwi is a key outcome for us.

Kahungunu Whānau Services is extremely grateful for the opportunity to serve communities across the Wellington region.

We have launched projects, created new relationships, and more importantly contributed to Whānau aspirations.

Hi everyone!

We want to express our sincere gratitude for the generous Christmas presents we received from the Kindness Collective Foundation.

We were so delighted to receive the presents and it was an absolute pleasure to share these koha will all our Whānau. It was truly a wonderful surprise and we can't thank you enough.

We would like to wish you and your whānau a Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year.

As the festive season approaches, we would like to remind you of our annual Christmas and New Year hours. Our offices will be closed from December 21st to January 9th.

Kia Ora everyone,

The Whānau day is here and I hope all of you can come out and join the fun! With a variety of activities planned, there is something for everyone to enjoy. From games and live music to arts and crafts, there will be a lot of fun to be had.

We will also have a delicious kai and bbq. As always, our Whānau day is a great opportunity to come together and share an enjoyable time with each other.
