With thanks to New Zealand Customs, Aviation Security, Immigration New Zealand, New Zealand Police, the Ministry for Primary Industries, and Auckland Airport for hosting a productive discussion with staff from the Australian High Commission in Wellington and the Australian Consulate-General in Auckland on crisis and incident management at Auckland International Airport.

It was a pleasure to be joined by consular colleagues from the United States, Canada, the United Kingdom, and New Zealand.

A valuable opportunity to strengthen communication channels and reinforce the importance of collaboration with like-minded partners.

The arts reinforce the strong friendship between 🇦🇺 Australia and 🇳🇿 New Zealand by deepening our understanding of one another through shared stories.

The High Commission partnered with BRAVE Theatre to develop education resources for more than 200 students across the Wellington region, alongside their production of Julia — an Australian play capturing a defining moment in modern political history.

The resources bring an Australian story into New Zealand classrooms, creating space for students to engage with ideas.

The 🇳🇿 Governor-General of New Zealand Dame Cindy Koro was warmly welcomed by 🇦🇺 Governor-General of Australia the Hon Sam Mostyn last week.
