On June 24, the Embassy of Russia in New Zealand hosted the opening of the photographic exhibition '85 Years of Soviet Information Bureau. History in Motion. An Era Remembered'

🌐 The exhibition features works by RIA Novosti photographers, captured from the 1940s through to the 2020s. Among the subjects: the Battle of Stalingrad, the 1945 Victory Parade, Gagarin's first flight, the Olympic Games in Moscow, Sochi and Milan, the work of peacekeeping forces, as well as meetings of world leaders.

The history of the photographs on display is inextricably linked to the history of the Soviet Information Bureau, established in 1941. It was later transformed into the Novosti Press Agency (APN), and subsequently into RIA Novosti, whose traditions are now carried forward by the Rossiya Segodnya media group. The archive amassed over 85 years forms the foundation of this exhibition.

24 июня в Посольстве России в Новой Зеландии состоялось открытие фотовыставки «85 лет Совинформбюро. Ожившая история. Запечатанная эпоха»

🌐 В экспозиции представлены работы фотографов РИА Новости, снятые с 1940-х по 2020-е годы. Среди тем: Сталинградская битва, Парад Победы 1945 года, первый полёт Гагарина, Олимпийские игры в Москве, Сочи и Милане, работа миротворческих сил, а также встречи мировых лидеров.

История представленных снимков неразрывно связана с историей Совинформбюро, созданного в 1941 году. Позже оно было преобразовано в Агентство печати «Новости» (АПН), а затем в РИА Новости, чьи традиции сегодня продолжает медиагруппа «Россия сегодня». Архив, собранный за 85 лет, лёг в основу этой экспозиции.

🎼 Submissions are now open for the II International Children's and Youth Competition 'In the Homeland of P.I.Tchaikovsky'

Young talented musicians from Russia, neighbouring countries and abroad are invited to take part.

Auditions will be held in four classical disciplines:
🔸 piano,
🔸 bowed string instruments,
🔸 woodwind instruments,
🔸 brass instruments.

In the Year of Unity of the Peoples of Russia, a new nomination, 'Folk Instruments', has been introduced for the first time.

The Competition consists of two stages:
1️⃣ a remote selection round based on video recordings;
2️⃣ an in-person round, which will take place in Votkinsk – the hometown of Pyotr Ilyich Tchaikovsky.

Performances will be evaluated by an authoritative jury composed of leading educators from Russian music institutions and mentors of the Ivetta Voronova Charity Foundation "New Names".

The Competition's Ambassador is People's Artist of Russia Dmitry Malikov, who will personally congratulate the winners at the awards ceremony. The winner of the Grand Prix will receive a cash prize of one million roubles.

⏰ Submissions will remain open until 15 August 2026.
International participants requiring a Russian visa to attend the in-person rounds must submit their applications no later than 15 July 2026.

🎼 Открыт прием заявок на II Международный детско-юношеский конкурс «На родине П.И.Чайковского»

К участию приглашаются молодые таланты из России, стран ближнего и дальнего зарубежья.

Прослушивания пройдут по четырем классическим специальностям:
🔸 фортепиано,
🔸 струнные смычковые,
🔸 деревянные духовые,
🔸 медные духовые инструменты.

В Год единства народов России впервые добавлена номинация «Народные инструменты».

Конкурс состоит из двух этапов:
1️⃣ заочного отборочного тура по видеозаписям,
2️⃣ очного тура, который пройдет в Воткинске – родном городе Петра Ильича Чайковского.

Выступления участников будет оценивать авторитетное жюри, состоящее из ведущих педагогов российских музыкальных вузов и наставников Благотворительного фонда «Новые имена» им. Иветты Вороновой.

Послом конкурса выступит Народный артист России Дмитрий Маликов, который лично поздравит победителей на церемонии награждения. Победитель, удостоенный Гран-при, получит денежное вознаграждение в размере одного миллиона рублей.

⏰ Прием заявок продлится до 15 августа 2026 года.
Иностранным участникам, которым требуется российская виза для участия в очных турах, необходимо подать заявку не позднее 15 июля 2026 года.

On June 22, marking the 85th anniversary of the outbreak of the Great Patriotic War, representatives of the Embassy of Russia in New Zealand laid flowers at a memorial plaque on the Wellington waterfront dedicated to New Zealanders who, as part of the Arctic Convoys, rendered assistance to the Soviet Union in the defeat of N**i Germany.

🕯 We remember those who sailed through icy seas to help the Soviet Union. We remember all who contributed to the common Victory.
