Doc Edge Festival 🎞️ With the support of Goethe-Institut Neuseeland, Doc Edge Festival are delighted to share two remarkable films from 🇩🇪 Germany screening at Doc Edge Festival 2026 in Auckland and Wellington.
One pulls back the curtain on one of the world’s most powerful tech companies. The other offers a rare and profound window into a Syria slowly finding its breath again. We would love your community’s support in spreading the word.

👩‍🎓 „Guten Tag from Konstanz, Germany! As home to one of the nine universities in Germany partnered with VUW Te Herenga Waka—Victoria University of Wellington, in Konstanz Universität Konstanz there is everything a student like me could want:

An affordable, quality education at Germany’s southernmost university, not to mention all that I can learn from the city’s numerous museums like Zeppelin Museum Friedrichshafen and Pfahlbaumuseum Unteruhldingen! 💡

An abundance of German culture - though it’s no wonder seeing as how Konstanz lies within 100 kilometers of Switzerland, Austria, and Liechtenstein.

🌼 Beautiful scenery surrounding me on all sides. Between the flower sculptures on Mainau Island, the architecture of Castle Burg Meersburg, and, natürlich, the stunning waters of the - I’m never without a view! ⛵️

🚲 And last but not least, countless opportunities for recreation - there’s never a time I can’t find something to do. Beach volleyball, swimming, cycling, hiking, ice skating … 🥾⛷️

I may need to extend my exchange another semester! Will you come visit? 🇳🇿✈️🇩🇪

The project invited students to design postcards as part of their studies under the guidance of Dr Monica Tempian, Senior Lecturer in German at the School of Languages and Cultures.

What a success at Fieldays 2026! 💪🇩🇪
Over four incredible days at Mystery Creek, the German Pavilion brought together innovators, businesses, industry leaders and visitors from across Aotearoa New Zealand and around the world.

As the 🇩🇪 Pavilion returned for its second year, it was fantastic to see growing interest in German agritech, engineering and sustainable farming solutions - and even stronger collaboration and exchange between Germany and New Zealand’s primary industries sectors.

It was wonderful to see the strong presence of 🇩🇪 German businesses represented and thrive across Fieldays®! A big thank you to - the German-New Zealand Chamber of Commerce, participating exhibitors, partners and everyone who visited the Pavilion during Fieldays® 2026 including our friends of Team Europe European Union in New Zealand. 🇩🇪🇪🇺
