At WPS we have some super clever students who know more than one language! As part of their English language learning, our ESOL students have learned and performed a play to the school. Their performance was awesome! Thank you Lorraine for your great work supporting these students 💕

On Tuesday, 25 Hub 4 students took part in a native tree planting day at the Taahuna Paa Planting Site through the Trees for Survival initiative. Since its inception, Trees for Survival has helped students plant over 1 million native trees across New Zealand.

As an Enviroschool, we value opportunities for students to get out on the land and make a positive difference to their environment. It was inspiring to meet former Waiuku Primary students, now at college, who proudly showed us trees they had planted three years ago.

Despite a windy start, the day turned out beautifully. Our students worked hard, showed excellent manners, and were a credit to our school. We are very proud of them!

Just a reminder that it is m***i day tomorrow for Samoan Language Week. Dress up in your favourite outfit/cultural dress. Show off where you come from. If you choose not to dress up, please come in your school uniform.

PIES ARE BACK

This term the PTA are selling a range of Kai Pies. These delicious Pies are award winning and proudly made in Wanaka. Your child will be bringing home an order form so selling can start.

Things to Know:

- Ordering starts Wednesday 3rd June
- Last orders and payments must be received by 12pm Wednesday 24th June
- Intended pie delivery Friday 3rd July
- Pick up location will be the School Hall (posts regarding pick up timing will be via Hero)
- Pies will be delivered FROZEN so will need to be picked on day of delivery
