Hello lovely people, this is a Moth Plant and currently pods are ripening and opening.
If you have this plant on your property please cut it down and pick up all the pods and dispose them with your weekly rubbish๐Ÿ‘
Every pod that opens distributes 100s of seeds all around the property.
Thank you ๐Ÿ™

Moth Plant do you have this in your garden? If you do now is the time to cut it before seed pods develop. Thank you ๐Ÿ™

Moth plant (Araujia hortorum) is a highly invasive, fast-growing perennial vine and a serious environmental pest in New Zealand. It smothers native vegetation, has poisonous seeds, and releases a milky, skin-irritating sap. Recognized by its choko-like pods, it spreads via wind-dispersed seeds and should be removed by cutting the base and disposing of pods in general waste.

Planting season is now over for us, but we will come back stronger in autumn 2026๐Ÿ‘
I am happy to report that plants are doing well on all 4 sections๐Ÿ™
In the meantime if you happen to live next to a category 3 site and see some wattle, wooly nightshade, moth plant or any other pest plants, have a go at them if able.
Thank you all for supporting this project and assistance with planting, much appreciated ๐Ÿ™
