We have been advised by Te Whatu Ora that there is whooping cough in our community.

The advice is for whanau to be aware and seek medical attention if you are concerned.

For more information visit :

Whooping cough can make pēpi (babies) very sick and some pēpi can die. Having whooping cough vaccination in pregnancy protects pēpi in their first weeks of life. Start vaccinating pēpi the day they turn 6 weeks old to keep protecting them.

This term we will be introducing two new attendance posters. The message on our first poster is “Be Brave keep turning up” We have a new wrist band to award to tamariki who attend school for five weeks. If your tamaiti receives one it becomes part of their uniform and can be worn with pride. At the end of this term if a tamaiti has attended school everyday they will be involved in an out of school activity to recognise their achievement.
