The 'Tuwhāretoa Ora' tent is the brain child of Kim Eriksen & Brendon Downs of Te Kākano Consultants. A special mention is given to Hera Hepi, who has stood behind, in-front-of and along-side us throughout the entire development and delivery of this community project; she is the third member of our 'Tuwharetoa Ora' team.

Our vision was to create a space at the 'Taupō Waitangi Commemoration', for local community to gather and share their Ora/Well-being strategies with each other. Acknowledging the many taonga/treasures within our whanau, hapu, iwi and local community that can create, maintain and sustain Ora.

Due to the success of last year, a larger space was required to accommodate this years growth of guest speakers and ora practitioners.

On that note, we would like to thank:

This year the 'Tuwhāretoa Ora' tent introduced a line-up of traditional Māori games. It was a hit with the Rangatahi, drawing a crowd in to see what all the fun & laughter was about. We'd like to thank Hemi Te Peeti of 'Moko Kiore Arts', Stevie Te Moni of
'Te Papa Tākaro o Te Arawa', Moananui Rameka & Benoir Midwood-Murray - creators of 'Rangatahi Boot Camp' and the young rangatahi themselves for making this Waitaingi day fun and exciting.
