We can cater for everyday play, birthday parties and other special occassions. The aim of the Taupo Toy Library is to provide a wide range of quality toys and puzzles to enhance the mental, physical and social development of your child through play. We have over 1300 toys available for hire covering a wide range of mediums (puzzles, construction, role play, outdoor equipment, ball skills, water pl
ay, musical instruments, games etc) the majority of these range in price between $1.00 to $7.00 for 2 weeks hire and a small percentage range between $8.00 up to $18 (these items being the larger slides, rollercoasters and obstacle course)
The nursery furniture consists of a range of exasaucers, safety gates, walkers, jolly jumpers, rockers, high chairs, portacots, etc and these items range in price from $2.00 per week. To become a Taupo Toy Library member you fill in a form with your contact details, sign a contract that basically states you will take care of the toys and return them in a good condition, and there are 2 main membership options;
$25 annual membership fee per family.
$15 annual fee for a Grandparent membership. We do have a facility for one off casual hires as well for people visiting Taupo, birthday parties etc - feel free to ask about these. We mainly cater for children from approximately 3 months of age to 5 years of age - we do however have a range of toys that will entertain up to approximately 10 years of age.
