On Tuesday, our Year 5 & 6 students travelled to Trafalgar Park as part of the winning Golden Bay Rippa Rugby team, proudly representing Mohua against 10 schools in the Regional Rippa Tournament.

The team played some fantastic rugby throughout the day, showing great teamwork, determination, and sportsmanship. With a mix of wins, draws, and losses, the children gave it their all and had an amazing experience.

A huge thank you to Ryan, Mickayla, and Ashley for supporting the team, and to Joe from Tasman Rugby Union for organising the event, running a training session beforehand, and continuing to support rugby in Mohua.

We are incredibly proud of how our tamariki represented our community. Ka pai, team

Thank you to Whānau Tōtara for hosting our Values Assembly. We loved hearing about your learning of Kia Mataara / Open to Learning from a Te Ao Māori perspective. I must say, you had us worried as Jake prepared to somersault into the net blindfolded; we were glad to see Reeve intervene. The learning journey you shared taking us from the nothingness (Te Kore) to the darkness (Te Pō) and towards the light (Te Ao Marāma) was a beautiful way of reflecting on the learning pit. Congratulations to all our Cross Country place getters.

Another fantastic Tākaka Primary School cross-country!
We are so proud of all our tamariki for their outstanding effort on the day. They showed amazing attitude, supported each other, and truly demonstrated what it means to be a KIA ORA Kid.
A huge thank you to our whānau for the awesome support and great turnout, to our staff for all their hard work, and to Strange Contracting, Angus and Sam for generously allowing us to use their land — we really appreciate it.
Also a huge thank you to April-Rose, Ryan and Jason for collecting in all the flags at the end of the day.
Check out some of the action from the day!
