What an incredible journey it has been. I am deeply grateful to have completed the Ethnic Womenโ€™s Leadership Training Programme alongside an amazing group of women from diverse cultures and backgrounds.

The experience has given me new knowledge, greater confidence, meaningful friendships, and a renewed commitment to serving and uplifting our communities.

Thank you to Lady Khadija Trust, Dr Hafsa Ahmed and to everyone who supported and encouraged me throughout this journey. This milestone is not just a celebration of what Iโ€™ve achieved, but of the people who have walked alongside me.

With gratitude and excitement for what lies ahead. ๐Ÿ’œ

It was nice seeing the communities convene together. So happy to see familiar faces from different ethnic groups and meet new ones. I would have wanted to stay longer but I needed to leave immediately because of a JP appointment. Catch Shono and LiYing again soon at Kabayan Radio to give more updates from NZ Police. ๐Ÿ‘ฎโ€โ™€๏ธ๐Ÿ‘ฎ๐Ÿ‡ณ๐Ÿ‡ฟ๐Ÿ‡ต๐Ÿ‡ญ

For it is God who works in you, both to will and to work for his good pleasure. - Philippians 2:13

All glory belongs to God. ๐Ÿ™

I am deeply honoured and truly humbled to receive the Kingโ€™s Service Medal in the 2026 Kingโ€™s Birthday Honours for service to the Filipino community.

This is such a HUGE recognition for a Filipino like me to be awarded by His Majesty, The King. This is one, if not the highest and most prestigious honours I could receive in service in my entire life, and I accept it with a heart full of gratitude and awe. I am truly humbled to be entrusted with something of this magnitude. And what makes this even more meaningful is that New Zealand, my adoptive country, has recognised the work I have been called to do.

When I look back on this journey, I see Godโ€™s hand in every step โ€” opening doors I never expected, placing the right people around me, lifting me and giving me strength in moments I needed it the most. It was not an easy journey but I know God knows my heart and He blesses me with His grace to not give up and continue making a difference, however difficult.

Today, I am reminded that when we remain grounded, God can elevate even the quiet, unseen work into something meaningful and impactful.

I feel incredibly blessed to be in a position to serve, and even more blessed to be recognised in this way - but above all, I am grateful to God for the opportunity, the guidance, and the purpose.

To my family, thank you for your unwavering love and support. To the Filipino community and the wider ethnic community, this honour belongs to you as much as it does to me.

To my adoptive home, Aotearoa, thank you for giving me the opportunity to grow, serve and contribute in a purposeful way. ๐Ÿ‡ณ๐Ÿ‡ฟ

I receive this with deep gratitudeโ€”and a renewed commitment to continue serving wherever God leads me.

To God be all the glory. โœจ

Maraming, maraming salamat po. ๐Ÿ™‡๐Ÿปโ€โ™€๏ธ๐Ÿ‡ต๐Ÿ‡ญ๐Ÿ‡ณ๐Ÿ‡ฟ

A heartfelt thank you to UN Women Aotearoa New Zealand, Antipodes, and to the incredible people who nominated me for this yearโ€™s International Womenโ€™s Day campaign. โ™ฅ๏ธ

To be recognized alongside so many inspiring women is truly humbling. This experience reminds me that when women support women, amazing things happen. ๐Ÿ’—

Maraming salamat for believing in me and for continuing to uplift voices in our community. Hereโ€™s to breaking barriers, celebrating each other, and creating more spaces where women can shine โœจ
