Essential to their, social, physical, psychological, and cultural development. It is widely known that children learn through play. It helps them to become

more independent, develop concentration and imagination and is a key skill needed for life. Play is fun, an essential part of child development, and something to be enjoyed by the whole family. We aim to be a place that offers a large range of well designed quality toys. A place that gives you the opportunity to borrow toys that match the stage of development that your child is at, a place to interact with other families.

Hi all, we have a few committee members stepping down, this is your chance to come and be apart of a super group that is a great resource for the community. We have a need for a Chairperson, Secretary and a few general members to ensure we have enough to cover meetings.
What is expected: we meet once a month on the second Wednesday of the month (Feb - Nov) , meetings last about a hour - hour and half, held at the library. The roles are not overly demanding, I can chat to you about things if you are interested

The Toy Library Federation of NZ members work hard behind the scenes for us in all the complicated running of a non profit. We thank them for taking some of the burden off the Committees around NZ and the helping hand the give.

June is Volunteering New Zealand's annual event: The Big Shout Out, where we celebrate the volunteers who power Aotearoa's communities.

Building Leaders of Tomorrow
4PM – 5PM | EVERY WED | 27 MAY – 1 JUL | TAWA REC CENTRE
Building Leaders of Tomorrow is a six‑week programme for young people aged eight to twelve. It helps emerging leaders grow confidence, resilience and taha hinengaro skills in a supportive environment. Sessions run every Wednesday at Tawa Recreation Centre. Individual sign‑ups are open now.
