Tēnā koutou,

The government is consulting on a proposal to make it easier to develop papakāinga across Aotearoa — and your voice matters.

We all know that papakāinga are more than homes, they’re living communities – places where whānau can thrive together, on their own whenua.

This proposal would mean that papakāinga can be developed with less red tape.

Te Puni Kōkiri, Te Tai Hauāuru regional team will be holding information sessions and would love for you and anyone you think might be interested to join us to kōrero.

Please see the attached pānui with details for our hui being held across the rohe over the next week with other locations and dates to be confirmed by the end of this week including Hawera, Ruapehu, Porirua, Wainuiomata and Te Tau Ihu.

If you would like to find out more and see how to make a submission please visit our website.

* We are also offering 2 online hui on the 25th June and the 16th July - if you would like to access these please PM us for those details

As you can see there are plenty of options available to ensure you have your say.

Mauri Ora!
