Last day at Kokako Lodge - Hunua Falls
We finished our last day with a Pancake Race. The groups had to answer questions to get ingredients before they could make their pancakes. They created and presented a theme using their pancakes. Of course they got to have a taste test at the end. Then the final clean up before getting in the vans and heading home.
Thank you to Jono, Andrew, Adam and Matt for their mammoth effort over the four days. Also to Maureen who worked tirelessly in the kitchen, the kids definitely didn't go hungry! Congratulations to Matua James for arriving home in one piece from his first camp as Teacher in Charge.
I would also like to acknowledge the Paparoa Depot Trust for their financial contribution to enable our students to have these opportunities.
This was our biggest camp to date and we cannot do it without our parent helpers. You were all amazing - bring on 2027!!

Day 3 Kokako Lodge Camp - Hunua Falls
Today we ventured out into the Auckland Metropolis, visiting the Museum. For most, it was the first time and for some, it's been a while. Starting with a workshop on Palaentology (fossils & dinosaurs) then completing the Museum Amazing Race with a bit more exploring at the end. This was an epic day and all the adults agreed that it is well worth having it on our camp itiniery.

Day 2 Kokako Lodge Camp - Hunua Falls
Today we had activities all day - Tramping through the Hunua Ranges, conquering the High Beam and Climbing Wall as well as orienteering around the camp. A lot of our students found a couple of these challenging but with the support of their team mates, they gave it a go. Amazing day!!

Day One - Kokako Lodge camp Hunua Falls.
We had a great trip down, starting activities as soon as we got to camp. The kids completed the chariot challenge and bushcraft, exploring the Hunua Ranges and checking out the raging waterfall. Fine weather, amazing food, Epic!
