We run the pool facility which is available for commuity and private groups to hire. Introduction

Pāpāmoa Amateur Swimming Club (PSC) is a club run by a committee of volunteers that are
passionate about providing a local swimming club for our Papamoa Community. We are based in the Papamoa School Pool at 65 Parton Road and offer a variety of swimming options from Learn to Swim to competitive swim

ming and fitness training. Our club mission is to:
To provide the highest level of coaching and swimming group options to our local community. Our aims are to:
• Provide a highly effective learn to swim programme for our local community;
• Provide a competitive swimming pathway and to assist swimmers to reach their full
potential;
• Assist swimmers to develop to their full potential for other water sports such as surf
lifesaving and water polo;
• Provide a pathway for our local community to be fit and healthy through the sport of
swimming;
• Create a sense of belonging for our swimmers, loyalty to the club and a lifelong love for the
sport of swimming. What makes us unique? The club is affiliated with Swim BOP and Swimming NZ which allows us to provide a competitive
pathway to our swimmers which makes us unique from other swimming providers in Papamoa. Due
to this, we are proud of the ‘sense of club’ that swimmers feel at PSC with it being a healthy
environment for swimmers of all ages to socialise and train with their club mates. We are also a non-for-profit organisation and as such we try to keep our fees at a lower price to
other swim schools in the area. We try to break down the barriers to accessing swim lessons where
we can. We also give back to the community by providing our aquatic facility for public use. Our Coaches

🥇A massive congratulations to Thomas Magill!🥇

We are incredibly proud to announce that our very own Thomas Magill has been selected to represent New Zealand as part of the 2026 Tri Series team! The event is taking place in Karratha, Western Australia, from 5–12 July, and Thomas will be travelling with the team to compete at this key development competition.

The Tri Series is a fantastic opportunity for age group swimmers, designed to introduce them to high-level performance racing on an international stage. For 2026, Swimming New Zealand has chosen a team of 39 age-group swimmers to take on state teams from Victoria and Western Australia. It’s a wonderful chance for the athletes to challenge themselves, grow, and represent New Zealand with pride.

This is an amazing achievement and testament to Thomas' hard work and dedication. We can't wait to see you represent New Zealand on the international stage! Pap Proud!

🎯Mark Sunday the 7th of June in your calendars!🎯

We invite all squad swimmers and families to pop down to the club at 2pm for a a 'Coaches Chat' with Coach Cole and Coach Claire. They'll chat about what's ahead for the squads, current focus, progression pathways for our swimmers etc. Great opportunity to ask your questions! They'll do a session with the swimmers, followed by the parent session.

We would also love for you to stay on until 3pm when we have our AGM. Keep an eye out for an email tomorrow with some committee news and more information on the AGM. We would really love see as many of our members as possible there.

Did you know our pool stays open all year round? It may sound like a crazy thought to swim in an outdoor pool during winter, but we love it!

Once you’ve done the sprint from dropping the layers to hopping in the pool you’re away ☺️. The water is warm, you get to breathe fresh air and the vibes are high!

We split our adult squads across 3 levels:

🟠Bronze ~2km
⚪️Silver ~ 2.5km
🟡Gold ~ 3km

You’d be surprised how much more fun swimming is when you have a programme to follow and a good group of people to do it with ☺️.

Our very popular Adult AquaFit Squads have space in the mornings and on Thursday nights.

Give it a try - everyone welcome.
