This is a massive achievement, and Jess will record this song to go on the national album, with a day in a professional recording studio to record her song, as well as receiving a music voucher.

We will share the song once she has recorded it in the studio.

🌿 We Did It! 🌿

A huge thank you to our incredible Pāpāmoa College community for getting behind our Wetland Project and voting for us. We are thrilled to announce that our project has been selected as one of this year's funded initiatives through the School Sustainability and Resilience Fund!

This is a fantastic achievement and would not have been possible without the support of our students, whānau, staff, and wider community. Your votes have helped us take another important step towards enhancing our wetland area, creating valuable learning opportunities for students, and supporting environmental sustainability for years to come.

Thank you to everyone who took the time to vote and support our vision. We can't wait to share updates as the project progresses and celebrate the positive impact it will have on our school and environment.

Together, we're making a difference! 💚🌱

🔒 Lockdown Drill in Progress 🔒
Please note that we are currently conducting a lockdown drill as part of our emergency management plan.
This is just a drill—there is no actual threat, so please do not be alarmed.
Practising these procedures helps us keep our students and staff safe in the unlikely event of a real emergency.
Thank you for your understanding and support.

🏆 SPORTS CAMP CHAMPIONS! 🏆

Last week, a powerhouse team of 33 Learning Through Sports (LTS) students headed to Matamata for an unforgettable week at Sports Camp.

Our students threw themselves into an incredible range of sports and challenges, competing in Netball, Touch Rugby, Hockey, Volleyball, Pickleball, European Handball, Longball, Caged Soccer, and even the hilarious Human Foosball!

With four full days of competition, late-night sports sessions, and high-pressure semifinals and finals, the week tested every athlete’s determination, resilience, and teamwork. Our students rose to the challenge, showing outstanding sportsmanship, courage, and support for one another throughout every match.

Their hard work, commitment, and team spirit paid off in spectacular fashion, as they made history by becoming the overall Sports Camp Champions for the first time ever! 🥇🎉

We are incredibly proud of every student who represented Pāpāmoa College with pride, passion, and perseverance.

A huge thank you to the staff, parents, and supporters who helped make this amazing experience possible.

Congratulations, team – what an achievement! 💙💛

🎉 Outstanding Achievement for Layla Clarke! 🎉

Congratulations to Layla Clarke, who achieved an outstanding result at the Waikato/Bay of Plenty Lions Young Speechmaker Competition held in Hamilton on Sunday.

Competing against some of the region’s most talented young speakers, Layla delivered a prepared speech on leadership before taking part in the impromptu speaking section. The standard of competition was exceptionally high, with students from across the Waikato and Bay of Plenty showcasing remarkable public speaking skills.

Despite being the youngest contestant in the competition, Layla impressed the judges and was awarded an outstanding second place. As a result, she will now go on to represent the Bay of Plenty at the National Lions Young Speechmaker Competition in Waipawa this August.

We are incredibly proud of Layla’s achievement and wish her all the very best as she prepares for the national competition. Well done, Layla! 👏🎤

🎬✨ Yesterday our Year 12 and 13 Media Studies students had a fantastic time taking part in a Digital Media Immersion experience at 3 mirage in Rotorua.

Students gained valuable insight into the world of digital media, exploring industry tools, techniques, and creative processes. The experience provided plenty of inspiration and ideas as they continue developing their own media projects and pathways.

A huge thank you to the team at 3 Mirage for hosting our students and sharing their expertise. It was an engaging and inspiring day for everyone involved! 🎥💡

We need your help!

We are urgently seeking homestay families for international students arriving in July.

These students are travelling to New Zealand very soon and are excited to experience life in a welcoming Kiwi home. We still have a few students to place, and we are reaching out to our community for support.

Hosting is a meaningful way to share your home and culture, build lasting international friendships, and receive homestay income ($350 per week). You do not need to have children at the school, just a spare room and a welcoming home environment.

We have students needing a wonderful home for only 2 weeks through to a term or two....

If you are able to help, know someone that might, or you would like more information, simply email us today on [email protected]

Help us make New Zealand feel like home.
