THANK YOU to each one of our incredible volunteers🫶🏻🔥

Being a volunteer means so much more than giving up hours of time for training nights, weekend courses, time away from our day jobs and family, long hours on the job and calls 24hours around the clock.

It means supporting our community and being the best we can be, when our community needs us the most.

We take pride in what we do, all while having a bit of fun at the same time🤩

So here’s to all our volunteers, employers that support them and their families, we thank you for your continued support🔥❤️

This weekend we had the honour of being hosted by Shannon Volunteer Fire Brigade for a games night and a BBQ feast, we were also joined by Tokomaru Volunteer Fire Brigade🥳

Competition was tough throughout the night, and thanks to our great (biased) referee and scoreboard keeper, Neil, Shannon managed to keep that stunner of a trophy (for now😜).

Jokes aside, we had a great evening of building relationships off the fire ground, and strengthening the bond with our brothers and sisters from neighbouring brigades🫶🏻

A massive shoutout to the crew from the Shannon Brigade for the effort that was put into hosting us, we look forward to returning the favour🤩

🥇🥇 Aimee Stubbs 1st ~ Female Rural Category & 1st Female up the tower on her Sky Tower Challenge Debut & 27th overall 🥇🥇

🥈🥈 Joel Gordon 2nd ~ Rural Category & 22nd overall also on his Debut 🥈🥈

🔥 Solid times & big efforts from the rest of the crew also. Most importantly - $11,223 raised by the team towards the nearly $2.5 million raised this year for Blood Cancer NZ 🔥

With hot and dry conditions forecast this week, the risk of fires starting and spreading is increasing. Even small sparks can quickly turn into dangerous fires.
