Ōtorohanga District Libraries Keep up to date with what's happening at the Ōtorohanga District Library and Kāwhia War Memorial Library!

Ōtorohanga District Libraries consists of the Ōtorohanga District Library and our branch library out at Kāwhia, the Kāwhia War Memorial Library. The public library in Ōtorohanga was opened at its current location on December 11, 1998. We are located off the main street of the Ōtorohanga township, behind the Village Green.

The countdown is on until our Once Upon a Mythical Read Winter Reading Challenge begins!

From 24th June primary school-aged tamariki can pick up their bingo booklet from Ōtorohanga District Library or Kāwhia Library and set off on a magical winter reading adventure. Complete reading challenges, collect prizes along the way, and finish the board to go in the draw for our final prize!

Something exciting is brewing at Ōtorohanga District Libraries this winter... Our Adult Winter Reading Challenge is returning from 1 July – 29 August!
