Nau mai ki Pipiri 🌿

Kaitiakitanga - this is the kaupapa that carries us through this marama. More than guardianship of our taiao, Kaitiakitanga is how we care for one another.

Our people. Our wellbeing. Our relationships.

Across our rohe this Pipiri, our services have kaupapa that are weaving whānau together through healing, hauora, learning, and connection.

Kaumātua programmes, whānau support and spaces to gather and wānanga together. Each one is a reflection of our shared responsibility to uplift, to protect, to care.

When we care for our people, we strengthen our communities.
When we strengthen our communities, we strengthen our iwi.

Tū Ake Whakatōhea!
United, connected and thriving.

Kia Ora e te Iwi,

Ngā mihi nui to all of the businesses, organisations, and community partners who supported our Youth Week Careers Expo for our Rangatahi.Your time, presence, kōrero, and willingness to share your experiences helped create a space where our rangatahi could explore future pathways, ask questions, and connect with people working across different industries.

For many of our young people, these conversations opened new possibilities and strengthened their confidence about what their future could look like.We are incredibly grateful for the support you have shown our rangatahi and for the positive energy you have brought to the kaupapa.Thank you for standing alongside our young people and investing in their futures.

Today is the last day to send entries for the T-Shirt Design Competition.

Got a design in your head? Now’s the time to get it out.
We’re running a T-Shirt Design Competition for Youth Week 2026 and we want our rangatahi to bring their whakaaro to life.
Whatever you want to express - your identity, your community, your voice - put it into a design.

The winning entry will have their design printed and worn by our community across Youth Week.

That’s your mahi, out in the world, representing something real.

🗓 Entries close: today (11 May)
📧 Send your design to: [email protected]

Open to rangatahi across the rohe.
