Have you heard about the awesome team at New Plymouth Central Lions Club turning unwanted pieces into beautiful, fully functioning drawers for our clients? This small but mighty team have worked on more than 25 sets in the past 12 months, helping make a new house a little bit more like home for wahine and tamariki. How cool is that?!

Are you thinking about leaving? We encourage you to make a plan, be cautious about how you implement it, and make positive choices in your life.

Leaving any relationship can be challenging, especially when abuse and violence are involved. It’s common for women to leave their abuser multiple times before feeling strong and supported enough to make it permanent. Women’s Refuge has found that this process often involves leaving and returning between four and seven times. We are always here for you, no matter how many attempts it takes.

This photo does no justice to the ENORMOUS amount of donations that the staff and members of Curves New Plymouth have recently donated. They spent the month of May collecting donations of non-perishable food and vouchers for groceries as well as offering our staff and volunteers one-month free membership. But it doesn't stop there.

Curves New Plymouth are also joining the workplace collections for Taranaki Women's Refuge Pop-Up Shop. Members will be able to bring in their great quality clothing donations with them when they go to work out, making it easier to donate and collectively making a pretty special impact on our fundraising and in turn our mahi.

A HUGE shout out to Jodi and everyone who contributed. Your generosity is humbling and so appreciated! 💜💜💜
