Riverside Reads is coming up again on Wednesday, 1 July. This time we’ll be chatting about the Ockham winner Lioness, by Emily Perkins, the story of a woman who finds herself enchanted by the freedom from the mundanity of domesticity her neighbour seems to be living in. All copies of the book are spoken for, but everyone’s welcome, even without a copy.

Community Corner with Timebank Whakatū
11am Thursday, 25 June
Elma Turner Library

The community session with Timebank Whakatū is coming up tomorrow—and we’d love to see you there.
Curious about how a timebank works? It’s all about sharing skills, helping each other out, and building a stronger, more connected community (no money required—just your time!).
Whether you’ve got skills to share, want to learn something new, or simply like the sound of neighbours helping neighbours, this session is a great place to start.
Come along and discover a different way of giving and receiving.
