Thanks to Dr Alex Hedley - Labour Candidate for Napier for catching up and learning about the impact being made through Ignite Youth Employment Services.

We're proud of our work and what our rangatahi continue to achieve.

Great to catch up with Chris at the Ignite Youth Employment Services. Chris and the team do incredible work helping Hawke’s Bay youth get into employment and develop vital skills, including getting a driver’s licence.

The Ignite team keeps delivering results. Their Youth Employment Service has now seen over 200 young people graduate, with many moving straight into employment or further training.

Despite their awesome mahi, it’s been getting tougher out there for our young people to find employment. Businesses are taking on fewer staff, and regional youth unemployment remains stubbornly high, making Ignite's work more critical than ever.

Awesome having .taiwhenua.o.heretaunga join us for the day! 🙌 The group took part in our Wellness Leadership Workshop newly run through our organisation, spending the day focused on leadership, healthy habits, nutrition, teamwork, and wellbeing. From hands-on activities, cooking their own lunch, and fitness challenges, to ending the day with a bike ride together. It was great to see everyone getting involved and supporting one another 💪. We love creating opportunities like this for rangatahi to build confidence, connection, and life skills in a positive environment.
