Part 1 - A mild December night in Matamata, 1992. School had finished for the year, we had been to a party and ended up outside the burger bars. As you did in those days. We would always go and watch Boo-Boo (aka Daryl Stevenson) from the HBB’s get his ham and cheese toasted sandwich. This night wasn’t short of action, there had been a few scuffles and I remember some unknown guys got in a van outside Reflections (the nightclub) and locked the doors and kept baiting Daniel Sowerby, so as they wouldn’t get out, Sowerby punched through the car window smashing it and hitting the fool. It got a bit messy before the van drove off. Then with our hot chips we headed to burn pie eyed’s letterbox (yes pre-meditated), cause he was a tosser. We got there and shoved our empty fish and chip paper in and lit it, but it was a windy night and kept going out. So we left, 2 assailants. Anyway driving past the next day and it seems the smouldering paper has caught fire and burnt. The letterbox and about 2 metres of the fence had burnt to ash. Whoopsie!!
