We encourage interaction with our posts and welcome kōrero from the community. However, we reserve the right to remove comments that breach these guidelines or the platforms’ own terms and conditions. To help keep our social media platforms safe and respectful, we ask that people follow these guidelines:
Be respectful. Please be courteous and avoid comments that contain offensive, profane, defamatory, or threatening language, or which are otherwise inappropriate in a public forum. These comments will be removed in accordance with the Harmful Digital Communications Act. Please keep comments relevant to the post or discussion. Healthy debate is welcome, but repeated posting of the same message will be treated as spam and may result in comments being hidden or users being blocked. Protect privacy. Please don’t share personal, identifying, or confidential information such as addresses, phone numbers, emails, or account details. Political content. Masterton District Library is politically neutral. Posts or comments that promote electioneering or political campaigns will be removed. Endorsement
Masterton District Library does not implicitly or explicitly endorse any individual or organisation by creating a social media connection, regardless of the terms used by social media providers. We may maintain social media connections with individuals and organisations that hold different or opposing views. We are not responsible for the content of those profiles.
