Moments with IHOA – Learning to Pray with a Sincere Heart?
1) Learning to Pray with confidence, make our prayer manifest.
2…What Jesus had to say about prayer.
3…What T.W Ratana Mangai had to say about prayer

The major reason for approaching IHOA in prayer is to have a close personal relationship with Him. The conversation is between IHOA and you, don’t babble on and on as people of religions do because IHOA already knows what you want and require… Pour out your heart before IHOA and you will begin to sense his grace, the mauri. Prayer is receiving what you asked from IHOA; keep your prayer simple.

Jesus Prayer on the Mount is his first mass prayer he saw the crowds and went up a hill where he sat down and gathered his Disciples together and began to teach them how to pray. The Gospel of Matthew 5:1-12...

In Matthew 6:5-8… Jesus teaches the congregation about prayer, but when you pray, go to your room, close the door, and pray to your Father, who is unseen, do not use a lot of meaningless words, as pagans do. Do who think that God will hear them because their prayers are long. When praying it is about simplicity and humility.

Jesus spoke; And so I say to you: Ask, and you will receive: Seek, and you will find: Knock, and the door will be opened to you: For everyone who asks will receive, and he who seeks will find, and the door will be opened to anyone who knocks. Luke 11: 9-10

T.W Ratana Mangai teachings about prayer to the Morehu; we must pray in secret for what you desire. The word says… Go in to the inner most part of your room and pray to your Father in secret, if you pray with sincerity in your Heart you will have power over all things. Always cast your mind to IHOA the Creator of all things. TWM 18 Pepuere 1928 T.W Ratana; Matthews 6:6...

What then is required! A right heart attitude is one essential, in other words we must have a humble heart. Psalm 62:8; 2 Kings 22:19; Psalm 51:17; 2 Chronicles 6:29; Proverbs 15:11. In our heart we must exercise faith in Jehovah God as the: Hearer of prayer and the rewarder of those earnestly seeking him. Psalm 65:2; Hebrews 11:16.

Look at Solomon, for example he did not pray for money, or for possessions, he prayed for knowledge instead, and he was given knowledge, but this was added too, in the form of gold and silver and other treasures and possessions. Chronicles 1:10-12; TWM 31 Hanuere 1925 T.W.R Mangai...

This strengthens the family bond, and IHOA becomes real to young ones as they hear their parents humbly pray. Our Earnest Prayers and precious knowledge on how to draw close to our loving Heavenly Father will make our life’s truly happy…

The Bread of life TWM 18 Pepuere 1928!!! The Apotoro, Akonga, and Awhina, you have access to the Bread of Life. When you want , or need something, pour out your heart in prayer, and verily you will receive the fruits you seek, do not neglect to reach out for this Bread of Life which is yours, lest it be lost for ever!!! Sunday 14th June 2026 - Te Pariha o Kaitaia - Kia Whai Kororia Hareruia Kia Ihoa Matua, Tama, Wairua Tapu me nga Anahera Pono Me Te Mangai hei tautoko mai aianei ake nei Ae.

ACCORDING TO T.W RATANA MANGAI...
Tumuaki o te Haahi TWM No.69 Hurae 18, 1925 pg3
T.W Ratana, Mangai - "Kati kua rongo atu au I nga whakaaro katoa o koutou otira me te huihuinga o nga mema o te Kotahitanga (me nga morehu ano hoki) mo tenei turanga, a, ko wai hoki mana.

HEAD OF THE RATANA CHURCH TWM No69 Hurae 18, 1925 pg3
T.W Ratana, Mangai - "Well then I have heard all your thoughts and opinions, also from the gathering of the members of the Federation council (including the morehu) regarding this position, and for whom. I have concerns about this matter because of the fact that many of you desire for me to take that position on, however! wish for you to explore further options for someone more appropriate. Furthermore, this position should be for someone adept and knowledgeable in the teachings, and also the scriptures to carry out accordingly this role, someone who has attended a great theological college trained for such matters.

But for me, I only finished school at Class four, therefore you can all see that I am (this body) unfit for this position, and as a result the intentions of your covenants(1921-23) have indicated to me what I should do next in response regarding the sealing of the second covenant (1925) which by the way is now closed (completed) …that is, the Ture Matua (Spiritual-Church), and now I hold in my hand the Ture Tangata (Tiriti o Waitangi-political, cultural, economic) And so then, if I take on this position (Tumuaki) I will be unable to uphold and carry out the Ture Tangata. This is what we are pursuing now, moving forward."

And here, Pepene Eketone (Chairman of the federation council) stood up to ask the Morehu if they all accept and agree that Te Māngai be the Head of this Church. One unanimous voice agreed.

KOMITI HAAHI MATUA
During the life time of the Founder of the Church, this Committee was made up of Apotoro (ONLY). This, of course, is logical, as who better to run the affairs of the Church than people who hold that High Office? It was no problem in those days to have a committee whose members were all Apostles, because there were so many Apostles living here in the Pa then. As time went on, the numbers of resident Apostles dwindled, and soon the Komiti Haahi Matua was being made up of Apostles and other Pou (Akonga, Awhina etc…

Again, this is most acceptable as all Pou are directly or should be involved. In the spiritual affairs of the Church. Further, is it right that non-Pou should be administering the affairs of, and making the rules for, nga-Pou? OF COURSE NOT... Kia Tau Te Rangimarie Mangai tautoko Ae...
Thank You for the beautiful Photo Puawai....
