We have been trapping up at IWK and we have trapped this beautiful tabby cat (not a great photo) but just want to check that he/she isn't anyone's before we whisk them down to Cat Care. They have a very white chest and whilst a wee bit skittery not what we would expect if they didn't have a home. Thanks

🌿 WE’RE HIRING | General Hand – Saturday Role🌿
Innovative Waste Kaikōura is looking for a reliable, practical and customer-focused General Hand to join our team at the Resource Recovery Centre.
This is a part-time role for Saturdays only at this stage, with the opportunity for on-call work to cover staff leave and illness as required. Immediate start available.
The role is varied and hands-on, including customer service, recycling support, site tidiness, sorting materials, assisting with resource recovery operations, and general duties as directed.
We’re looking for someone who is:
• Reliable, trustworthy and physically fit
• Friendly, helpful and confident dealing with the public
• Safety-conscious and willing to follow procedures
• A good team player with a commitment to Zero Waste
• Comfortable with practical, outdoor, hands-on work
Full drivers license, cash handling and customer service experience would be an advantage.

Innovative Waste Kaikōura (IWK) is looking for an enthusiastic and community-minded person to join our team as a Waste Minimisation Educator.

This exciting role combines:

🌏 Sustainability action across Kaikōura

This is a permanent part-time role working across 40 weeks per year, generally Monday–Thursday, with flexibility required for training, travel and community events.

✔ Is passionate about sustainability
✔ Has great communication and facilitation skills
✔ Can inspire positive environmental action in our community
