It’s that time of year again when we come together to celebrate Matariki with a fun-filled disco for our tamariki!

🕺 Junior School (Years 1–3, Muka Team)
⏰ 5:30pm – 6:30pm

💃 Senior School (Years 4–6, Raranga Team)
⏰ 6:45pm – 7:45pm

🎟️ Entry: $5 per studentYour child's entry fee includes everything on the night!

Please note: Students may attend their designated disco session only and cannot attend both discos.

Just a quick reminder that Cupcake Day is coming up on Thursday 7th May in the school hall 🎉

We’re still looking for donations of homemade, decorated cupcakes. These will be sold to the children for $2 each.

Cupcake Day…!!!

The Home & School Committee will be holding their Cupcake Day on Thursday, 7 May 2026.

These will be sold to students for $2 each, with a limit of 2 cupcakes per child at morning tea.

To help make the day a success, we kindly ask families to:

Deliver cupcakes to the hall before school on Thursday, 7 May 2026, between 8:30am – 8:55am.

Label cupcakes that are suitable for children with allergies or dietary requirements.

Label containers (with your child’s name and room number) if you would like them returned. These will be sent back to classrooms.

For after-school sales (3:00pm – 3:30pm), come to the area by the hall (or nearby classroom if the weather is not favorable) to purchase leftover cupcakes. Please bring your own container if possible.

Volunteer your time—even an hour helps! Assistance is needed during the morning session (8:30am – 11:00am) and/or after school (3:00pm – 3:30pm).

This is always a fun and busy event—we usually have around 800 cupcakes to sell, so plenty of helping hands are needed. Come and be part of the excitement!

We understand that the cost of living is rising, so please only contribute what you can—any amount is greatly appreciated.

The Johnsonville School Home & School group is looking for parents to join the committee as well as needing volunteers for the events they organise throughout the school year. Your involvement will make it that much more fun and helpful in the spirit of community building.
