A special visit from the past! 💜

Today, we had the pleasure of meeting with Corrie and Krystyna (pictured with Susy, our Branch Coordinator), who volunteered with Pregnancy Help Hastings in the 1980s and 1990s.

They shared wonderful stories of supporting local families through phone calls, home visits, and appointments, working alongside midwives and other community agencies. While much has changed over the years, our mission remains the same: providing practical support to wāhine, pēpi and whānau.

It was inspiring to see that their passion for helping families is as strong as ever. Thank you, Corrie and Krystyna, for sharing your memories and being part of the Pregnancy Help story. 💕

Massive thank you to Beanies for Babies NZ 2019 💖

We received this huge box of beautiful hand made baby knitwear, toys, face cloths, blankets and even books and hot chocolate sachets.

We can't wait to pass these on to whānau so their pēpi can be kept warm and cozy this winter.

Thank you for all your hard work and effort and sharing your skills with us.

A huge thank you to Whānau Āwhina Plunket Napier for inviting us to share a Cloth Nappy Workshop with these beautiful wāhine and their pēpi 💛

We are proud to offer free cloth nappies as an alternative to disposable nappies — helping reduce waste going to landfill while potentially saving whānau thousands of dollars over time.

It was wonderful to connect, share knowledge, and support families to feel confident using cloth nappies in a simple and practical way.

💛 Can You Help Us Support Local Whānau? 💛

Right now, we are needing donations to help care for pēpi, tamariki and whānau across our community. Every week we meet families who are doing their very best through difficult circumstances, and your donations make such a real and immediate difference.

We would love donations of:
👶 Baby clothing — newborn to 2 years
🧸 Toys and children’s books
🍼 Nappies and baby essentials
🛏️ Bedding and blankets
🤰 Maternity wear
🛁 Baby equipment such as bassinets, baths, highchairs and other good quality items

We are grateful for donations that are clean, safe and in good condition, ready to be passed directly on to another whānau with love and dignity.

Donating is simple 💕
You can drop items to our branch:
📍 5th Floor, 215 Railway Road, Hastings
(Don’t worry — there is a lift!)

🕤 We are open:
Tuesday, Wednesday & Friday
9.30am – 12.30pm

If these hours don’t suit, donations can also be left outside our room. The building is open weekdays from 8.30am – 6.00pm.
