This week's pick is the 1989 classic, Driving Miss Daisy.
The story of an old Jewish widow named Daisy Werthan (Jessica Tandy) and her relationship with her black chauffeur, Hoke (Morgan Freeman). From an initial mere work relationship grew in 25 years a strong friendship between the two very different characters in a time when those types of relationships where shunned. Directed by Bruce Beresford, the film won four Academy Awards including Best Picture and Best Actress (for Tandy).
Driving Miss Daisy has a run time of 1 hour and 39 mins, and is rated G.

In honour of International Archives Week we present an archive that was used for an enquiry earlier this week! While searching for information on an ancestor who died here in Hamilton in 1869, we were able to provide this excerpt form H.C.M Norris' research notes, which describes the man in question! "Farm labourer, about 5' 8", ruddy complexion, light brown hair - stout -28 years."

We've got your weekend movie viewing sorted with Beamafilm, our FREE online streaming service.
This week's pick is Guillermo del Toro's 2006 classic, Pan's Labyrinth.
In 1944 Spain young Ofelia (Ivana Baquero) and her ailing mother (Ariadna Gil) arrive at the post of her mother's new husband (Sergi López), a sadistic army officer who is trying to quell a guerrilla uprising. While exploring an ancient maze, Ofelia encounters the faun Pan (Doug Jones), who tells her that she is a legendary lost princess and must complete three dangerous tasks in order to claim immortality.
Dark, twisted and beautiful, this entwines fairy-tale fantasy with war-movie horror to startling effect.
Pan's Labyrinth has a run time of 1h 58mins and is rated R16.
