Cobham School Closure Notice:

Cobham School will be holding a Karakia Whakamoe on Thursday 26th June at 9am to acknowledge the closure of the school, we welcome ex stduents, staff and whanau to attend.

This karakia closure process will be facilitated by Rongowhakaata Iwi, which will then be followed by a cup of tea at the Cosmopolitan Club at 10am.

Please note for health and safety reasons, the school is currently undergoing some asbestos removal/constructions works and it is very important that everyone adhere to health and safety regulations. We will be guided by property advisors onsite. For this reason, parking for senior citizens (pakeke) will be onsite in the main carpark, for everyone else - please park on Lytton Road.

To the whanau and community of Cobham School

We wanted to share some important news with all of you, the Minister of Education has made the decision to close Cobham School, effective as of 27 June 2025.

While this marks the end of an era for our cherished school, we want to take a moment to express our deepest gratitude to everyone who has been part of this journey.

Cobham School has been more than just a place of learning; it has been a hub of community, connection, and shared experiences for generations.

Your support, dedication, and involvement have been the heartbeat of our school, and we have created memories that will last a lifetime.

Thank you for being a part of our story.

Fun Day Shenanigans 2024
What a fun day it was too! We had bouncy castles, the play trailer, sausage sizzle, iceblocks and a water slide! A big thank you goes out to Bundles of Bounce for the amazing bouncy castles and Whiti Ora Tairāwhiti for supplying the Play Trailer 😊
To our amazing tamariki we hope you all enjoyed yourselves today 😊❤☀️ and all our amazing kaiako we hope you did too 😊

Our tamariki have been practicing really hard for the "Turanganui Schools Māori Cultural Festival Gisborne", and they are AMAZING!

We will be performing at the festival tomorrow Friday the 22nd of November at 11:30 am.
We are all looking forward to seeing them perform up on stage 😊
