MAK-ATTACK ON THE NETBALL COURT!

What a fantastic day our Year 5 and Year 6 Fast5 Netball teams had at the interschool tournament! Both teams stepped onto the court with massive smiles, tons of energy, and an incredible amount of school pride.

Here is how the day unfolded:
Year 5 Team: They faced some incredibly tough competition and, while the wins didn't come their way today, their spirits never dampened! They had an absolute blast, learned a lot, and showed amazing resilience.

Year 6 Team: A brilliant effort from this crew, walking away with a few fantastic wins and fighting hard in some nail-bitingly close matches!

More than the scoreboards, we are incredibly proud of the Makauri values and outstanding sportsmanship on display from every single player. You represented our school beautifully!

A HUGE Thank You! Days like this can't happen without our amazing support crew. A massive shoutout to Mrs. Tietjen and Mr. and Mrs. Kendall for all of your help, coaching, and cheering throughout the day. We appreciate you so much!

Big Thanks to Supreme Engineering!

A huge thank you to our wonderful Makauri School community for your ongoing support. Once again, a local community business has stepped up to help us out.

This time, the talented team at Supreme Engineering fabricated a set of dual-purpose football and rugby posts for our fields. The kids are absolutely rapt with the new gear and can't wait to put them to use.

We are incredibly grateful to live and work in a community where businesses generously look after our school and students.

Thanks, Alan and the team, for making this happen for our kids. We truly appreciate your support.

What an incredible community we have here at Makauri!

Time and time again, our school community steps up to support us, and this past week was no exception.

Last week, we unfortunately damaged one of our Tiaki ticket boxes while trying to modify it to create a slot for the tickets.

Before we could even worry about how to fix or replace it, one of our wonderful community members reached out with a solution. They offered to use their 3D printer to create brand-new ticket boxes for our students.

We want to give a massive shoutout to Keryn for designing and creating these epic new Tiaki ticket boxes. Your kindness, quick thinking, and generosity are greatly appreciated by all of us.

We took the new boxes around the classrooms this morning to show them off, and the kids were absolutely impressed.

Thank you, Keryn, for being such a fantastic example of the supportive spirit that makes Makauri so special.
