We recently digitised this oversized map of Weber County after removing it from its sealed mylar envelope. It was scanned in 36 sections and the parts carefully stitched together. The 2.6m map is now viewable online, and safely resealed - our paired goals of providing access and preserving records soundly achieved!

How far can you zoom in? Can you read the landowner names? https://archivescentral.org.nz/tararua-district-council/record/map-weber-county-1

This poignant image was found in a Hawke's Bay collection of water quality images and is of a little girl looking out over Westshore Beach, Napier after lumps of tallow (rendered meat fat) washed up on the shore in December 1980.
