🌟🚀 Explore Matariki and the Wonders of Space These School Holidays🚀🌟

Join Manawatū Community Hub Libraries these July School Holidays for two weeks of free activities that will inspire creativity, learning, storytelling, and hands-on fun.

✨ Create Matariki-inspired crafts
✨ Learn traditional flax weaving and rongoā
✨ Experience Virtual Reality adventures
✨ Enjoy stories with Alan Dingley
✨ Build rocket ships and constellation light jars
✨ Explore the universe through planetarium sessions and rover driving workshops
✨ Plus much more.

📅 Monday 6th – Friday 17th

⚠️ Some activities have limited spaces and require bookings or registration. Age restrictions apply to selected workshops.

✨ Matariki Public Holiday (Friday 10th): Te Āhuru Mōwai will be unstaffed with Open Plus access only. No holiday programme activities are scheduled on this day.

👨‍👩‍👧‍👦 Children under 8 years of age must be actively supervised and remain in view of a responsible caregiver aged 16 years or older.

Take a look at what Deanna Gunn, Makerspace Specialist has been up to! She has been carefully repairing a pot lid for the Feilding Repair CAFE.

It’s a great example of practical repair skills in action, helping give everyday household items a second life and keeping useful things out of landfill. Small fixes like this make a real difference in supporting a more sustainable community.
