Mabel the NZ sea lion Kia ora. I'm Mabel, daughter of Mahira, born at Smaills beach in Dunedin, New Zealand in the summer of 2024.

Frida, Vega and a rather large boy lion around at Smaills. Thanks for keeping an eye out for sea lions at beaches around Dunedin, we might pop by for a visit at any time and may be camouflaged by sand or logs 😁

Astro (on the left) and Tektite with their boy pups in January 2026. Astro is a daughter of Tektite, and they gave birth very close in time and space to each other in the dunes above Smaills beach. The boys became firm friends and have enjoyed many escapades together!
