If you heard chainsaws firing up around Brunner this morning, there’s a good reason for it! 🪵🚒

Our members have been busy preparing for our upcoming firewood raffle, and we thought we’d share a sneak peek of the work that has been happening behind the scenes.

We’re also grateful for the support we’ve received from within our local community to help make this fundraiser possible.

Tickets will be $2 each or 3 for $5, and once everything is ready you’ll see our volunteers out and about selling tickets at local supermarkets, Mitre 10, and around the community.

As a volunteer brigade, we’re proud to give our time to serve our community when we’re needed most. Fundraising like this helps us support the people behind the pager through firefighter wellbeing initiatives, recognising long service and commitment, supporting brigade and community activities, and assisting members who represent our brigade at regional and national events.

A strong brigade is built on strong people, and every ticket sold helps us continue supporting the volunteers who give their time to keep our community safe.

Thank you to everyone who supports us. We’ll keep you updated as the raffle gets closer and let you know when tickets are available.

🔥 Chimney Fire Safety Reminder 🔥

As the colder months set in, it’s a good time to make sure your fireplace is safe to use.

If your fire has been extra smoky when you light it, or it’s been a few years since your chimney was last cleaned, it might be time to get it checked.

A build-up of soot and ash in your chimney can cause chimney fires, which are dangerous and can spread quickly.

Stay safe and keep warm this winter; get your chimney checked and cleaned if needed.

Happy Birthday Rob

A big shout-out to our Chief Fire Officer, Rob Lunn.
Since stepping into the Chief role back in 1988, Rob has been a constant for the Brunner Volunteer Fire Brigade and the Dobson community. Through all the changes over the years, his leadership, support, and steady presence have never wavered.

Rob is always there for his crew, backing his people and leading from the front, and that’s a big part of why he’s so well respected both within the brigade and out in the community.

We’re lucky to have you, Rob. Wishing you a great day and a well-deserved celebration.

🔥 Congratulations, Jordan! 🔥

We’re proud to congratulate Jordan Isaac Kennedy on his appointment to the Station Officer position at the Brunner Volunteer Fire Brigade.

Jordan has been a dedicated volunteer for 13 years, bringing commitment, experience, and a genuine passion for all things fire and emergency to the brigade. His knowledge, leadership, and willingness to step up make him a valued part of our team.

Jordan will continue to work alongside the other officers in leading the Brunner Brigade, and we have no doubt he will excel in this role.

Get ready! Today is the day to make a difference! Join us for this year's Salvation Army Food Drive as we hit the streets in our community.

Keep an ear out for our sirens starting at 5:30 PM as we make our way through Kaiata, Dobson, Stillwater, and Taylorville. We’ll begin with a brief siren alert to give you a chance to gather your donations. You can hand over your non-perishable goods directly to us or simply leave them outside your property for easy pickup.

Every can and box truly counts! Your generosity can light up the lives of those in need, so let’s show our support as a united community. Your participation matters! We can’t wait to see you this evening!
