As part of our Annual Appeal Weekend, several dedicated staff and volunteers are collecting today. This is a massive team effort, with over 145 collectors on the streets today! We are also thankful to have the support of our partners Harcourts, ASB, MAS, and APO alongside our own team members.

This year we have 34 sites throughout Otautahi with volunteers across all business units in HHStJ, our local Fellowship and Christchurch AC. The Mist Team have set up a fantastic display at Prestons New World, and we have Fleet N #562 (donated by Linda and Barry Jackson) on show in the CBD.

What an amazing day in the sunshine at the Christchurch FreshChoice City2Surf!
Hato Hone St John was honoured to be chosen as the charity of choice for this year’s event. With a prime spot by the main stage near the finish line, our team ran a busy BBQ serving close to 1,000 sausages alongside 10kg of bacon and 10kg of onions, all tucked between around 55 loaves of bread and topped with 5 litres of condiments.
To keep the atmosphere buzzing, we also had a spinning prize wheel entertaining the kids, while the MIST team showcased one of their vehicles, which proved to be a real crowd favourite.
The day was a fantastic example of what we can achieve when we collaborate. Representatives from across the fundraising team, MIST, the Christchurch Area Committee, and St John Youth all came together to represent Hato Hone St John with pride and energy.

It was wonderful catching up with some of the Christchurch Host Lions Club members after their successful raffle. Community groups like this make a real difference, helping us fund the vital equipment needed when new vehicles go on the road.
