There is so much history to Tātai Hono Marae - Te Mīhana Māori - originally being the second St Paul's Auckland church, and then becoming a set-apart Mārae under the leadership of Hone Kaa in the late 1970's.

Tatai Hono - 'to tie together,' was named this to reflect that this marae was a space for people to meet as one and was not specific to an iwi/tribal ancestor.

The marae continues to be a space for hui that provides Māori hospitality to those from ngā hau e wha, the four winds.

✨Panui whakawhetai✨: feeling grateful for our wonderful on-site marae - Tātai Hono Marae - Te Mīhana Māori. There is so much history to this space - originally being the St Paul’s Church hall, and then becoming a set-apart Mārae under the leadership of Hone Kaa in the late 1970's.
