Local Board Engagement Advisor Kaipātiki & Devonport-Takapuna

Local Board Engagement Advisor Kaipātiki & Devonport-Takapuna Public page to support my role as Engagement Advisor for two local boards on the North Shore, Auckland.

As an engagement advisor with the local boards, my main role is to ensure that everyone in our community has a voice, particularly groups we don’t hear from as often, like Māori, Pasifika, Asian communities, and young people. My focus is on improving participation in both local and regional consultations, providing advice on how to engage the community effectively, and ensuring local voices are reflected in regional plans and policies.

🌿 A F Thomas Park: A Once-in-a-Generation Opportunity 🌿

A F Thomas Park is entering a new chapter—one shaped by the unique Wairau (Kaipātiki) environment and its communities. After years of severe flooding, the park will play a vital role in protecting homes and essential services while becoming a vibrant space for recreation, connection, and wellbeing.

This is your chance to help design a legacy park that reflects the values, culture, and aspirations of our community. Because of important stormwater works, there will be changes to how the park can be used but also exciting new opportunities for walking, cycling, sport, and enjoying nature.

Consultation closes in 5 days! Don’t miss this once-in-a-generation chance to shape the future of AF Thomas Park.
