I’m writing to you from the National Party Annual Conference in Lower Hutt, where we are celebrating a massive milestone 90 years of the New Zealand National Party.
But this weekend isn't just about celebrating our history; it’s about shaping what comes next. Our focus is clear: Fixing the Basics. Building the Future.
I am using this time to connect with senior leadership, collaborate with colleagues, and bring back fresh ideas to deliver real improvements for Ōtāhuhu. From local infrastructure to cost-of-living relief, I'm focused on learning what works so we can implement it on the ground in our electorate. Thank you for your continued support as we build a stronger future together.

An absolute incredible turnout for our fundraiser! 💙
A massive thank you to everyone who came out to support our campaign for Ōtāhuhu, our amazing community leaders, friends, and family.
Special thanks to Hon Erica Stanford and Hon Mark Mitchell for taking the time to stand with us. It was also fantastic to be joined by our hardworking volunteers and fellow National candidates from across South Auckland. We have an incredible team, and the energy in the room proved we are ready to deliver the positive change our community deserves.
On a personal note, having my parents in the room to share this moment made me incredibly proud.
We are building something special here. Thank you for standing with me! 🇳🇿

It was an absolute pleasure meeting Kara and her partner Peter today, an amazing couple who has been successfully running their business right here in our electorate for the last 20 years!
They welcomed me with open arms, and we had a fantastic, honest discussion about what it takes to keep a business thriving. It was incredibly encouraging to hear them acknowledge the positive difference they are feeling under a National Government, particularly with inflation coming down and a stronger focus on keeping crime low.
However, they also shared their ongoing concerns about those persistent "little incidents" that still disrupt local shops. We know there is still work to do to ensure our hard-working business owners feel 100% safe and supported every single day.
National is committed to backing local enterprise, rebuilding our economy, and restoring law and order to our communities. Thank you, Kara and Peter, for your incredible dedication and giving back to Ōtāhuhu & Papatoetoe over the past two decades!

Great to join amazing Rima Nakhle MP and a fantastic crowd of local supporters at the recent Takanini Electorate Fundraiser.
Rima's strong, compassionable advocacy for her community is a stellar example of what a dedicated local MP looks like. The energy in the room was a testament to the strong support for National’s vision in South Auckland.
As the National Party candidate for Ōtāhuhu, I regularly hear the same priorities from families and business owners in my own patch: the need to tackle inflation, support local commercial sectors, and restore law and order so our neighbourhoods can thrive.
National is committed to fixing the basics rebuilding our economic foundations, cutting wasteful spending, and ensuring real consequences for crime.
It takes a strong, cohesive team to deliver these outcomes so Kudos to the Takanini electorate team, volunteers and passionate YoungNats. It was brilliant to connect with so many passionate people dedicated to that mission. Thank you to Rima and her committee for hosting such a successful event!

PS: Great to catch up with South Auckland great candidates for National party.

Let’s keep this momentum going! 📈🇳🇿

It was an absolute privilege to join forces with the Rotary Club of Botany Downs recently in my capacity as President of the Rotary Club of Counties Manukau for the Rotary Cans for a Cause initiative.
Many families across New Zealand and right here in our local electorate are doing it tough and struggling to put food on the table for their whānau. Seeing our communities step up to help the Rotary Clubs of New Zealand reach their goal of 1 million cans for local food banks is incredibly inspiring.
As your National Party candidate for Ōtāhuhu, my priority is ensuring our local families are supported, our community groups are empowered, and no one gets left behind. True leadership starts on the ground, working hand-in-hand with the incredible volunteers who keep our neighborhoods strong.
A massive thank you to everyone who dropped off donations at the Papatoetoe collection point! Together, we are building a stronger, more resilient community. 💙🦁

Fantastic catching up with local small businesses in Ōtāhuhu. Had a lovely chat with this amazing, hard working café owner Lata. ☕️✨
We talked about how much the Ōtāhuhu town center has improved, but also agreed that there is definitely more work to be done to support our local economy, boost safety, and help our high street thrive.
As your National Party candidate for Ōtāhuhu, I am fully committed to rolling up my sleeves and doing more for our community. Small businesses are the backbone of our local economy, and I’ll always back them! 🇳🇿💪
