📢 CONGRATULATORY MESSAGE
On behalf of the Office of the Honorary Consul of Nepal to New Zealand, I extend my heartfelt congratulations to all Nepalese community associations across the South Island for the historic first-ever Nepal Festival held on 18 April! 🎉🇳🇵
What a magnificent success this event stands as a beautiful testament to what can be achieved when our community comes together with unity, passion, and shared purpose. Your collective hard work and dedication have transformed this vision into a vibrant celebration of Nepali culture, heritage, and identity in Aotearoa New Zealand.
We also sincerely thank the Prime Minister of New Zealand, Christopher Luxon and the Leader of the Opposition, Chris Hipkins MP for sharing their kind good wishes through special video messages. Their support means a great deal to our entire community.
A special thank you goes to the Steering Committee, all local organisations, volunteers, and everyone who contributed to making this event so memorable. You have truly done us all proud.
I would also like to extend my sincere appreciation to Suman Giri Bhai for professionally visualising and presenting the festival across social media platforms your work was outstanding and truly elevated the event’s presence.
Furthermore, a big thank you to Kent Harrison from LUMO who has always stood strongly behind our community. Christchurch truly felt like a Nepali city during the festival, thanks to your generous support in showcasing the event across major digital hoardings.
Here’s to many more milestones together as we continue to grow, celebrate, and strengthen our community. Congratulations once again to everyone involved! 🇳🇵🤝🇳🇿
With warm regards,
Dinesh Khadka
