नेपाल सरकारको मिति २०८३ असार ३१ गते स्वीकृत संगठन तथा व्यवस्थापन (O&M) सर्वेक्षण अनुसार, जल तथा ऊर्जा आयोगको सचिवालय अन्तर्गत रहेको जलस्रोत तथा ऊर्जा अनुसन्धान केन्द्र तथा जल तथा मौसम विज्ञान विभागको जलविज्ञानसम्बन्धी कार्यलाई एकीकरण गरी "जलविज्ञान तथा जलस्रोत अनुसन्धान केन्द्र" स्थापना गरिएको छ।
According to the Organization and Management (O&M) Survey approved by the Government of Nepal on 31 Ashadh 2083 (15 July 2026), the Water Resources and Energy Research Centre (WRERC) under the Water and Energy Commission Secretariat (WECS) and the Hydrology function of the Department of Hydrology and Meteorology (DHM) have been merged to establish the Centre of Hydrology and Water Resources Research (CHWRR).
