📜 The Story Behind the Name – From “Bhagdeu” to “Bhardeu”According to local legend, when Lord Mahadev was meditating, villagers called out to him. To avoid disturbance, he became invisible, and the place where the deity “disappeared” was called Bhagdeu (“the place where the deity ran away”). Over time, as the settlement grew, the name evolved into Bhardeu, meaning “the sacred place where the deity resides.”
