On the ocassion of " World Toilet Day" Rotary club of Kathmandu downtown along with 14 other Rotary Clubs as joint initiative of Rotary Action Group pleased to handover Toilet to Dharmasthali Police Station.
Second project by Rotary Action Group as initially we handed over computer and printer and as per demand of the Police Station we initited the construction of toilet project @ cost of 5.5 lalkhs.

Support: Restoring Dignity and Sanitation at New Bus Park Police Station

​Dear Community Supporter,
​The Rotary Club of Kathmandu Downtown is currently spearheading a vital community project: the reconstruction of the Police Station at the New Bus Park, which was severely damaged during the recent youth protests. While we are securing materials and labor for the main structure, we face a crucial and immediate shortfall concerning one of the most fundamental necessities: sanitation and hygiene.
​The Unspoken Need: A Matter of Dignity
​A functioning police station is vital for maintaining public safety in Kathmandu’s busiest transport hub. However, a functional building is incomplete without dignified, clean, and modern sanitation facilities. The existing toilet infrastructure was completely destroyed or rendered unusable, posing a significant risk to the health of the officers serving our community and the citizens who interact with them daily.
​We are launching this mass appeal to fund the construction of a new, durable, and hygienic toilet block for the rebuilt station. This is not merely an auxiliary cost; it is an investment in:
​Public Health: Preventing the spread of disease in a high-traffic area.
​Dignity: Ensuring basic human needs are met for the essential personnel serving our city.
​Sustainability: Building facilities that are resilient and maintainable for decades to come.
​How You Can Help
​We require financial contributions to purchase the necessary plumbing, fixtures, piping, and specialized labor needed for this essential sanitation block.
