Manichud Jatra 2071
More than 5000 pilgrimage attend the jatra last Sunday on Janai purnima at this holy Shangrila like place, known as the birthplace of King Manichud, a 31st birth incarnation of Lord Buddha and his meditation place as well as sacrificing his head struck with Mani(diamond), 1 Mahadan among other 5 Mahadan need to be completed by Buddha before getting Bodhisattva(Bodhisattva Mahabadan). This place is also a sacred site of Manichudeswor Mahadeva. It lies at the altitude of 2387m inside a serene Shivapuri Nagarjuna National Park.
