Members of Rotary Clubs, known as Rotarians, provide humanitarian service, encourage high ethical standards in all vocations, and help build goodwill and peace in the world. Rotary e-clubs follow the same policies as all Rotary clubs. The key difference is that e-clubs conducts its weekly meetings on the clubโs website. Rather than being physically present at an appointed day and time, members may attend meetings at any time and any day of the week. As all Rotary clubs do, Rotary e-clubs meet weekly, perform service project in local and international communities, support The Rotary Foundation, and enjoy fellowship among the members. And the keys to their effectiveness are also the same: service-minded members, opportunities for fellowship and strong leadership. Rotary e-club of District 3292, Nepal has been chartered under the initiation of a group of past Rotaract Club members of District 3292. Believing in Rotaryโs ideology of Service above Self, a group of past Rotaract club members decided to continue to be part of the Rotary family after involving for more than a decade in various Rotaract clubs. Inspired by the senior Rotarians to become a Rotarian and serve the community, young group of men and women decided to involve in Rotary by forming a new Rotary e-club in District 3292-Nepal & Bhutan. After preparation for more than 6 months, the club applied to Rotary International for charter under sponsorship of Rotary Club of Patan. The club received its charter from the Rotary International on 31st May 2013 and club ID is 85160
The club is first Rotary e-club in district 3292 and comprised of 20 young members from various professional backgrounds. Some of the members are past participants of Group Study Exchange program of the Rotary Foundation. The membership of club is not only limited to District 3292 and open to all service minded members worldwide. The club conducts weekly meetings on its club website : www.rotaryeclubnepal.org
