We work to transform ideas into concrete projects which would be useful and beneficial both for the nation, youths and people. Young people often have ideas on how to change things for the better, but do they have the means and opportunity to implement them? United Youths of NEPAL is designed to encourage young people to put their ideas into action and contribute to a constructive change process.
Informal groups of young people will be encouraged to think about the needs of their community, or of society in general, and to use these ideas to create an initiative that will produce the desired results. This initiative should then be implemented in cooperation with local schools, NGOs and the local community and Government. The participants will thereby acquire a range of social and project management skills. They will understand the importance of teamwork and cooperation with other stakeholders. By being involved in the practical implementation of ideas and initiatives, these young people will come to understand what changes can effectively be made, and will then play an active role in bringing these changes to society. The project will stress the importance of voluntarism, non-formal education and active citizenship and, most important of all, show that these young people can be instrumental in the change process and contribute to a better world. It will also provide support to informal groups of young people who are not necessarily directly involved in youth organisations, and will address their real needs as expressed by these young people themselves. United Youths of NEAL educates young people about the challenges of sustainable development and creates opportunities for them to use their creativity and knowledge to pioneer innovative solutions for the SDGs. In addition, United Youths of NEPAL creates platforms for young people to connect, collaborate and integrate their ideas and perspectives into national and regional pathways for implementation of the SDGs.
