ङ्गलादेश भारतपछि नेपालको नजिकको दक्षिण एसियाली छिमेकी मुलुक हो, जहाँ भाषा, संस्कृति र जीवनशैलीमा नेपालसँग गहिरो सामीप्यता देखिन्छ । संस्कृत र देवनागरीबाट विकसित बङ्गाली, नेपाली र हिन्दी भाषाले साझा सभ्यतालाई झल्काउँछन् । बहुजातीय र बहुधार्मिक समाज भएको बङ्गलादेश सहअस्तित्वको सुन्दर उदाहरण हो ।
१९७१ मा भाषिक आन्दोलनबाट स्वतन्त्र बनेको बङ्गलादेशका जनता राष्ट्रप्रेम र लोकतान्त्रिक मूल्यमा दृढ छन् । हाल सम्पन्न निर्वाचनले शान्ति, विविधता र पूर्ण प्रजातन्त्रप्रतिको जनआकांक्षा स्पष्ट गरेको छ ।
